Classroom training is highly recommended for all first time observers and for all observers at 3-year intervals.  The classroom lecture focuses on the proper conduct and documentation of opacity observations.                                                                      8am

USEPA Method 9 limits the period of certification to 6 months.  To remain certified, observers must repeat the certification requirements.                 10am
